BangStrokeBlow

Posted in Electronica, Video, We are not a rock band with tags , , on February 22, 2011 by Knockturnal

London three piece BangStrokeBlow make experimental, electronic, dance floor orientated music on a revolutionary new electronic instrument – the Eigenharp. (That’s those awesome flashy things you can see in the video which look like an extension of a daft punk helmet).

They say “expect anything in the live sets from Hip Hop to Break Beat to Trance” and that “every single note will eat away at your internal organs, in a fuzzy, buzzy rapturous way”. sounds good to me! Check out their new video, it will either make you really hungry or put you off your dinner! They’ve got a couple of shows coming up in London next month so check the myspace for dates…

PUT EM IN A BODY BAG!

Posted in Hip hop, Video with tags , , , , , on February 1, 2011 by Knockturnal

I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t know much about Johnny Nelson up until this morning. I do now, (as the internet is  a wonderful thing and has allowed me to do my research). But up until this morning all I knew was that he’s a rapper from Brooklyn, that he’s good pals with Ninjasonik and (the mother fuckin’) Death Set, that his latest track is a reference from ‘The Karate Kid’ (the original, not the one with Will Smith’s kid) and that he makes good, fun, party music. And to be honest, that’s all you need to know too, cause if you’re not sold from that you never will be.

So grab yourself a free copy of ‘Put Em in a Body bag’, check out the video below and keep your ear to the ground for the new EP dropping sometime in Spring.
