Benoit & Sergio – Let Me Count The Ways
The wonderful Benoit & Sergio are set to release their latest track Let Me Count The Ways next Monday on Spectral. They self-describe their music as “teenage romance” and you get the impression that whilst it’s meant somewhat tongue in cheek there’s also an element of truth there. There’s something about the music that really resonates. It’s something quite down-tempo, something beautiful and something really quite lonely. Benoit & Sergio specialise in the type of tunes that play when you’re that exquisite level of smashed and makes you float around the dancefloor, eyes fluttering.
Let Me Count The Ways has been doing the rounds lately, mostly courtesy of Seth Troxler who included it on his recent Essential Mix for Pete Tong (I highly recommend reading the BBC page for this which describes recording the mix in Jamie Jones’ lounge, waking up his housemates after a heavy weekend with loud techno!)
I get the feeling this will be one of those tunes which will grow on you until you adore it. You can listen to samples of Let Me Count The Ways over at the Spectral Sound site.
