It’s been too long between Clash The Disko Kids posts. Probably my fault but thankfully CTDK have released their summer mixtape and as always it’s techno gold. Bucking the trend of normal summer mixtapes which are usually bright and cheery, it seems the CTDK crew have gone all dark and sinister, maybe Asia is having a gloomy British Summer too?

CTDK – Summer Mixtape 2011

Thankfully this tight 46 minute mixtape will evaporate all those summer blues, as CTDK bounce along in their usual frantic style to bring us a mixtape containing future and newly released stompers from the likes of STSB & Saalmen, Noize generation and an absolute belter of a remix from Souvnger on Pulpalicious’s ‘Bodytalk’.

As a bonus the CTDK crew have also released their latest remix offering in the form of Sound of The Stereo’s ‘Diamond’. Best known for their dark, brooding, brand of Belgium techno, that could strip paint from the walls; Sound of The Stereo have blended subtle 90′s samples with their familiar brutish-bass to produce an unrelenting track that forms part of the minerals EP that came out on June 27th. CTDK have built upon this with something a bit lighter, which wouldn’t be hard but the result is no less brilliant.
