We’re now able to reveal the location for Friday’s SOCIETY warehouse all-nighter:
VILLAGE UNDERGROUND
54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch EC2A 3PQ
8pm – 4am
Just off Great Eastern St – walking distance from Old St and Liverpool St stations – map here.
After seeing Village Underground we knew we had to change location – and what a location it is! We’d go as far as to say this is THE BEST warehouse space London has to offer – check out the pictures below for proof, it’s going to blow you away!
Moving to this venue has meant a change of opening times – and the night is now running from 8pm-4am, so arrive in good time, we’re going to get this party going early!
Tonight is our last SOCIETY Session of the year and this one is going to bring down the walls. No excuses – no work in the morning (unless you’re really unlucky). Come and werk off that Xmas Turkey with a non-stop basement jackin’ session.
Joining ROBERT OWENS this month are the inimitable DAN BEAUMONT, who many of you will remember from our Marshall Jefferson warehouse party earlier this year (he absolutely KILLED IT) and Trailer Trash legend MIKKI MOST who will both be digging to the back of their box for Acid House Xmas Crackers. JOSH CAFFE, SOCIETY RESIDENTS and guests will keep our baubles shaking until the early hours, plus we have some very special surprises in store.
If you’ve not made it down to our parties yet, DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. Our previous events have seen the Dalston basement transformed into east London’s take on Ron Hardy’s Muzic Box, with an untouchable atmosphere and the party people jackin’ to the sounds of 80′s Chicago house ‘til the small hours. Nowhere else can you dance in a cosy basement club with Robert Owens singing and dancing along with you. This party will put your New Years Eve to shame – we promise.
HUGE NEWS! For our fourth Acid House all-nighter we have the INVENTOR OF ACID HOUSE, DJ Pierre flying in from Chicago, USA.
Call him Phuture, Pierre’s Pfantasy Club, Phortune, Phuture Phantasy Club, The Don, Photon Inc, Aly-Us, Nat “Ja…mmin Jones”, Scratching Pierre, DJ Pierre, The Creator, Legend, Pioneer, Innovative, Timeless, Genius…they all apply. And now the man himself is coming to rock our warehouse with a one-off Acid House set.
The event is going to take place at a great new warehouse location in east London and as we’ve proved with our previous parties, we create a gathering that feels as much like 1989 as possible, with projections from the era, decor and original artwork influenced by artists like Keith Haring and Bill Drummond, and of course lasers, smoke and Funktion One sound.
After two successful Society Sessions in the past two months, we bring you a third installment that is our biggest session to date. The last two parties in Dalston’s Basement has seen the charismatic, soulful Robert Owens team up with a different guest DJ and this third assignment will see him square up to his toughest opponent to date! Terry Farley!
Terry Farley, a man who needs no introduction but i’ll try anyway, is an acid house legend from Slough. This is a man who used to bathe in a tin bath and has been through more musical movements than Beethoven. DJ, founder of Boy’s Own magazine and then head of Junior Boys Own Records, Terry Farley is a monumental catalyst in House music past, present and future.
Our last two events has seen Dalston Superstore transformed into east London’s take on Ron Hardy’s Muzic Box, with an untouchable atmosphere and the party people jackin’ to the sounds of 80′s Chicago house ‘til the small hours. Nowhere else can you dance in a cosy basement club with Robert Owens singing and dancing along with you. It may be a Thursday night but the weekend most definitely starts here – BRING DOWN THE WALLS!
Want more info or to be added to the guestlist then email shh@societywarehouse.com or add yourself to the Facebook and RA event list.
Still not excited by this heavyweight clash? Well thankfully the Class of 808 boys put together a little warmup mix early in the week and they will also be supporting these two behemoths of House music this evening.
Our third session and this time we have two artists way too huge to be playing in our basement!
This installation brings together the silky-voiced Chicago legend with another huge special guest, Terry Farley. Head of Boys Own Records and in his own right a monumental catalyst in House music past, present and future.
