This Saturday sees LA’s Culprit Records head honchos Droog go up British partner in crime Inxec in a special back to back set at one of our favourite London warehouse parties, Potty Mouth. Completing the bill is Danish deep house master Noir and rising Polish stars Catz N Dogz and We Are Not A Rockband’s very own Hazmat; giving what must surely be the most hotly anticipated international lineup across the capital this weekend.
And if just the mere thought of it all wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, Droog have only gone done a Potty Mouth warm-up mix! With tracks from Subb-an, Gavin Herlihy and Amirali, you’ll be popping on your dancing shoes super-early out of sheer excitement. Tracklisting after the jump.

If you’re looking for an education in what’s hot right now, look no further than the incredible Noir Recommends podcasts. They’re some of the most listened to deep house podcasts that you will find and are always jam-packed full of serious tunage.
His latest podcast, Episode 9, landed yesterday. The first half is very deep, but picks up after about 30 mins when H.O.S.H’s incredible ‘What Do You Want Me To Say‘ drops.
Stay tuned for more podcasts in this series as and when they arrive.
Noir is playing at the next Potty Mouth – cannot wait for that! Get tickets here.
O hai epic Potty Mouth line-up. What’s that you say? Inxec has coaxed his LA cohorts Droog over to London town to play with him? And Polish duo Catz N Dogz are in town playing a rare live set? And somehow Danish DJ and producer Noir has been thrown into the mix too??
It’s no surprise that clubbers have been going mental for Droog Vs Inxec‘s tech-house track Westbound. It’s got a dark tone to it with a wonderful build-up that will excite both experienced ravers and those new to the scene. But it’s one of the more deliciously darker track from the Westbound EP, Unhinged, with its melancholic female vocals that’s really what 2012 is going to be about.
Inxec Vs Droog – Unhinged
Catz N Dogz are amazing DJs and with a whole box of tricks from their own record label, Pets Recordings, to delight crowds with, seeing them play out is a treat that London get’s its fair share of (luckily). But how often do we get to hear them play their own stuff? This is no doubt a problem that has been eating away at you for some time and thank god for Potty Mouth to the rescue. Expect choice picks from their latest album Escape From Zoo, maybe even a bit of their recent side project with Soul Clap on Hypercolour’s off-shoot label Glass Table, the wonderfully named Clapz II Dogz (if we’re really lucky), and most certainly recent tracks like Jon Bovi.

Aside from being one half (the music half) of one of the biiiiigest hits from last year, Noir & Haze – Around, Noir also has one of the most downloaded deep house podcasts going. And when you consider how many DJs and producers are constantly churning out podcasts for our ears, this really is no mean feat. Couple that with the fact that HIS tracks regularly pop up on all those other podcasts and you know you’re in for something a bit special.

We’re now able to reveal the location for Friday’s SOCIETY warehouse all-nighter:
VILLAGE UNDERGROUND
54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch EC2A 3PQ
8pm – 4am
Just off Great Eastern St – walking distance from Old St and Liverpool St stations – map here.
After seeing Village Underground we knew we had to change location – and what a location it is! We’d go as far as to say this is THE BEST warehouse space London has to offer – check out the pictures below for proof, it’s going to blow you away!
Moving to this venue has meant a change of opening times – and the night is now running from 8pm-4am, so arrive in good time, we’re going to get this party going early!
So a new little basement space has cropped up on Kingsland Road – and they’re doing a cheeky pre-launch party this Saturday (17th Dec 2011). Run by Potty Mouth promoter and long-time friend of WANARB, this 200 capacity venue will be open weekly and promises to become quite a hit on the East London scene. Expect to start hearing a lot more about it in the weeks and months to come (you heard it here first).
The pre-launch is an invite only, friends and family type affair; but the promoter has kindly allowed us to invite you, our loyal readers. You are after all, our friends and family!
It’s guest list only, so please send an email to pottymouthdisco@gmail.com to confirm your attendance, or alternatively, just pipe up that you’re a reader of We Are Not a Rock Band on the door, and they’ll greet you with open arms.
It’s free entry all night and open until 3am.

HUGE NEWS! For our fourth Acid House all-nighter we have the INVENTOR OF ACID HOUSE, DJ Pierre flying in from Chicago, USA.
Call him Phuture, Pierre’s Pfantasy Club, Phortune, Phuture Phantasy Club, The Don, Photon Inc, Aly-Us, Nat “Ja…mmin Jones”, Scratching Pierre, DJ Pierre, The Creator, Legend, Pioneer, Innovative, Timeless, Genius…they all apply. And now the man himself is coming to rock our warehouse with a one-off Acid House set.
The event is going to take place at a great new warehouse location in east London and as we’ve proved with our previous parties, we create a gathering that feels as much like 1989 as possible, with projections from the era, decor and original artwork influenced by artists like Keith Haring and Bill Drummond, and of course lasers, smoke and Funktion One sound.
On Saturday 26th November, Rhythmatic celebrate four years of throwing parties. To mark the occasion, they are bringing Cocoon’s Onur Özer and Desolat’s Romanian renegades, Livio & Roby, to the capital for an eight-hour rave alongside their residents, Stathis Lazarides, Wesley Razzy and Archie Hamilton. For those still desperate to dance, there is also an after party that runs from 6am until Midday.
A party with a distinctly deep house and techno flavour, Rhythmatic have pulled out their biggest line up to date for their next event. We have managed to secure two tickets to the party, which takes place at a secret east London location, plus two entries to the Un:Rated afterparty and a couple of Rhythmatic branded t-shirts. An exciting weekend for London, just answer the question below to win.
Which DJ heads up Cocoon Records?
A) Sven Vath
B) Richie Hawtin
C) Loco Dice
Once you’ve done that just email your answer to info@wearenotarockband.com with ‘Rhythmatic Competition’ in the subject line. Closing date for the entries is Wednesday 23rd November @ 12pm. Winners will be picked at random and notified by email.

8th birthdays are usually tremendous affairs. Cake, candles, balloons, presents, maybe a clown. No such frivolities for Phonica Records. Instead they booked out the normally wonderful 3-arched Great Suffolk Street Warehouse and pulled together one of the most impressive lineups South London has seen all year. With Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom arch playing host to both Benoit & Sergio and Visionquest, and the Phonica arch featuring Joy Orbison and Soul Clap, you’d think you’d have the night covered. But it was former-Phonica-employee Heidi who had, for us, the winning arch.
If my excitement for the impending Eastern Electrics at Suffolk Street Warehouse this weekend wasn’t enough, it turns out that the awesome 3-arched venue will be playing host to Soho record store Phonica’s 8th birthday soon as well. Taking place on the first weekend of October, it boasts a line-up so exquisite that it makes me a bit dizzy just to look at it. Putting Leftroom’s Matt Tolfrey and Radio 1′s In New DJs We Trust’s Heidi charge of an arch each to complement the Phonica-curate arch was basically a stroke a genius.
It goes without saying that my inner-fangirl is barely able to breathe at the possibility of seeing Benoit & Sergio, Soul Clap, Visionquest and Joy Orbison in one night (basically if there is any serious clashing, I will actually cry). Check out the full, amazing lineup over at the Facebook Event and then make sure you get your ticket now as word on the street is they’re going fast.
In the meantime, ease yourself slowly into the casual brutality of another bank holiday weekend with the more recent Crosstown Rebels podcast from Shaun Reeves of Visionquest. Standout moments come from Jimpster’s remix of David K’s 73 Tomtom Avenue and Denis Kurtel – Best Of. But hey, let’s be honest, I’m just a sucker for a mix that kicks off with Pillow Talk – Love Makes Parks.
