After breaking the news last January that the tune about cocaine and ketamine you were all so desperately after was by Venezuelan duo Fur Coat we thought it only fair to pin them down for an in-depth chat. And what better time to do so than just before they’re due back in the UK to play Return To The Future 4 for some bank holiday weekend madness. With big-hitters like Seth Troxler and Tale Of Us also on the bill, it’s truly time for Fur Coat to cement their growing reputation here in the UK…
Still riding high on the months-long hype-wave, Fur Coat’s monster track You And I finally gets a digital release today on Crosstown Rebels. We first broke the news about who the track was actually by back in January, leading to Crosstown boss Damian Lazarus admitting we’d let the “kat out of the bag”.
Fast-forward two long months of waiting and now everyone else (ie. non Crosstown persona and those not vinyl-junkies) can get their dirty mitts on the track and the accompanying Amirali remix.
And the really big news to match this release is that Fur Coat will be hitting up London town for Return To The Future during the upcoming May Bank Holiday with a ridiculous lineup encompassing headliner Seth Troxler AND Tale Of Us AND Luca C of Infinity Ink! Those who were lucky enough to get a ticket to Hot Natured’s sold out New Year’s Day party (or paid through the nose to get a resold ticket) might have been canny enough to pick up the free Hot Natured Galatic Radio Mix CD that was being handed out to clubbers leaving the venue.
This particular mix is by Infinity Ink, the new project from frequent collaborators Luca C and Ali Love. With only one release of note, Games on Hot Creations, this should go a long way to help raise their profile. With tracks from Puente & Rosch, Green Velvet, a smattering of their own music and a dollop of pop song remixes, it’s certainly worth a listen.
And now that a few months have passed, Jamie Jones has popped the entire mix up on his Soundcloud for everyone else to download and enjoy!

London based Ali Love, has up until recently been known for a more disco sound with 2010′s album Love Harder drawing comparisons to Heartbreak and Cut Copy. This year however, has seen him ally himself with dance music’s big-guns: the Hot Creations crew headed up by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss. His latest project, Infinity Ink, with Luca C, has been getting notable attention with latest track Games appearing on mixes by anyone worth listening to, including both Maceo Plex and Art Department. Fitting then, that he should be performing a live PA this Friday 16th December at Return To The Future, sharing the bill with Hot Creations/Creche Alexis Raphael, Supplement Facts Bill Patrick and Art Department themselves. We caught up with him to chat about Infinity Ink, working with Jamie Jones, shooting David Guetta and ermm, turbans.
So we’re in December already and the question “What are we going to do New Years Eve?” is one that’s been on peoples lips for a while.
