6 Mix : My Name is Tiga

Last night saw the debut of Tiga’s 6 Music show aptly titled ‘My Name is Tiga’.  The 120 minute mix featured tracks and remixes from the likes of Boys Noize, LCD Soundsystem, Erol Alkan, Marco Carola, Matthew Dear, Aphex Twin, Cabaret Voltaire and Pop Will Eat Itself… As well as exclusive premiers from his ZZT project (The Canucks collaboration with Zombie Nation).

The show was definitely not one to be missed, but fear not if you did as you can listen again for the next 2 weeks over at the 6 music website here. Track list is after the jump…

Miami Noize 2011

With WMC/Ultra Week fast approaching I’m beginning to feel sick to the stomach that I’m not gonna be back in Miami for it this year, seriously I think last year was some of the most fun I’ve ever had? Why am I not going this year?! Oh yeah, probably something to do with the cash flow…

Anyway Boys Noize Records have just released this teaser for the upcoming Miami Noize album which will either make you really excited for Miami, or sad that you’re not going. Either way there’s no denying it will be another hit for the Boys Noize Records crew featuring  exclusive tracks from the whole gang as well as guests Lone and Noob. Listen below, track list is after the jump!

Miami Noize 2011 is out on Beatport 28th March and every where else 11th April.

BOYS NOIZE ACIIIIEED ATTACK!!

An upcoming release in the BNR series: Boysnoize 54 – ‘Super Acid’ is set to trouble your earballs on double 12″ vinyl at the end of this month.

For the 54th instalment of their BNR Series, Germany-based Boys Noize Records pay tribute to Acid House – one of the sickest sounds of the late 1980s. Featuring 12 squelching modern acid jams by Boysnoize Records artists and friends including Jan Driver, Housemeister, Dave Tarrida, Joakim & Krikor, Siriusmo, Strip Steve, Erol Alkan, Feadz and WANARB favourites Shadow Dancer.

Could this year see a resurgence in the Acid sound? We do hope so! For now, you can stream the preview below and pick up a copy on limited Vinyl and CD January 31st, plus digitally through Juno and all other retailers from February 14th. INTERVIEW WITH BOYS NOIZE

Busy celebrating the success of his 50th release – Alexander Ridha, AKA Boys Noize took time out to catch up with the WANARB crew to discuss whats he’s done to celebrate reaching such a milestone, his new record label that will release only ‘hot shit’ – and to tell us that both his favourite and least favourite noise is his pet dog snoring.
