Whooooo – The Twelves

twelvesGrab your glittery tambourines and start clapping those hands, The Twelves – and a new remix, are here. Hailing from Brazil, the duo formed in 2006 and named themselves after the date they were both born on – the 12 of July 1980.

Anyway silly reasons for names aside – they’re a remixing masterclass. They came to fame when they remixed M.I.A’s track “Boyz” and haven’t looked back since, with highlights including a New Young Pony Club remix and reworkings from MSTRKRFT and Who Made Who.

Their newest offering is for Database Vs French Horn Rebellion. These two groups are currently touring together and have collaborated on a number of songs to produce an EP and super mix album. So – The Twelves have got involved and produced this disco-heavy remix full off synthy drums and happy clappy pianos. It sounds marvelous.
