London three piece BangStrokeBlow make experimental, electronic, dance floor orientated music on a revolutionary new electronic instrument – the Eigenharp. (That’s those awesome flashy things you can see in the video which look like an extension of a daft punk helmet).

They say “expect anything in the live sets from Hip Hop to Break Beat to Trance” and that “every single note will eat away at your internal organs, in a fuzzy, buzzy rapturous way”. sounds good to me! Check out their new video, it will either make you really hungry or put you off your dinner! They’ve got a couple of shows coming up in London next month so check the myspace for dates…

Ahead of his performance at XOYO last Saturday, Ed Banger boss Pedro Winter (AKA Busy P) found some time in his busy schedule to chat to WANARB. This is the guy who managed Daft Punk for 10 years, discovered Justice and is the head honcho of the seminal French electronic label ‘Ed Banger’ – home to the likes of Mr Oizo, SebastiAn, Uffie, DJ Medhi, Carte Blanche, Cassius and many more. He is quite possibly the most influential man French electronic music has ever seen.

The UK’s coolest boutique urban festival, Liverpool Sound City, has just announced its first wave of acts performing over May 19th-21st across the city’s most iconic venues. Just announced acts include Cast, Black Lips, The Whip, Wave Machines, Spank Rock, Willy Mason and Sound of Guns. With label parties already confirmed from Young Turks, Bella Union, Deltasonic and Moshi Moshi, featuring guests Jamie XX, SBTRKT and Teeth this is definitely not one to be missed!

Already established as an epoch-breaking music, arts, cultural and multi-media extravaganza, LSC is rich in burgeoning new sounds and styles from home-grown local bands through to the most dynamic and fresh talent sourced from around the world. LSC is replete with the latest film premiers, art exhibitions and is a cultural celebration of the city’s heritage and the wider scope of the UK’s contemporary music scene, championing current innovators and mavericks whilst heralding the next generation of futurists and avant-garde play-makers.
