10 House Tracks For April ’12

So I’m currently taking a well deserved break in America right now (Denver to be precise), and I thought I’d knock up a cheeky top 10 of some of the house / deep house tracks I’m digging at the moment. These are in no particular order:

Jessie Ware – Running (Disclosure remix)

I’ll be honest – I don’t know a lot about Disclosure. A quick googling tells me they’re a duo from the UK, and a flick through their SoundCloud tells me they produce nice, garage influenced house tracks. This remix of Jessie Ware is an absolute stormer.

Out on vinyl now – buy here.

Dusky – Every Day

In ‘Flo Jam’, London duo Dusky AKA Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman have created a bomb of an EP (which I posted here yesterday). It was difficult to choose between Every Day and Flo Jam, but I went for the former because it’s more accessible.

Release date: vinyl in Apr, digital in May on Dogmatik

Aaliyah – If Your Girl Only Knew (Finnebassen Remix)

This Aaliyah bootleg is huge at the moment. It was made by a young Norweigan producer who goes by the name of Finnebassen. There’s currently a shitload of hype surrounding this dude so we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him over the coming months.

Alexis Raphael – Into The Light

Alexis Raphael is steadily growing in notoriety, and with his monster track ‘Into The Light’ set for release on Hot Creations he looks set to boost his profile even further.

Release date: April 23rd on Hot Creations

Jamie Jones feat. Art Department – Our Time In Liberty (Russ Yallop remix)

Russ Yallop has hit a purple patch over these last few months, and this remix of Jamie Jones feat. Art Department sees him continue his rich vein of form. After you’ve listened to this, feel free to check out another recent belter by him here.

Release date: April 30th on Crosstown Rebels

Mario Basanov – We Are Child of Love

Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m obsessed with slo mo. So how could I miss some off this list? This is 112bpm, so technically it might not be classed as slo mo (in my head I set the boundaries at between 80bpm and 110bpm), but whatever it is, it’s a winner.

Out now, buy here

Kolombo – Feela

This cheeky little number is the latest in a series of tunes to come from camp Kolombo recently. I like the energy and happiness this exudes. Keep the happy vibes coming please producers! It is nearly summer after all.

Out now – buy here

[Please note, only half of the preview below is the original track, the second half is the remix]

Andre Crom – Holdin’ On

German based Andre Crom has been around for a while and his tunes continue to get better and better. Holdin’ On is probably my fave track of his so far. Looking forward to what the rest of the year has to offer.

Out now – buy here

The White Lamp – It’s You (Eats Everything and Christophe Acid Ouse Mix)

Bristol based Futureboogie is a frickin awesome label and seems to get better with every release. My pick of the bunch from their latest release by The White Lamp is the Eats Everything and Christophe Acid Ouse remix. It’s a right old dirt bag innit.

Release date: April 16th on Futureboogie Records

Fur Coat feat. Cari Golden – You and I

What can I say about this one? Such a hotly anticipated track – one of the biggest deep house tracks of the year. In fact, very much in danger of being that track that everyone rolls their eyes at because it’s so successful. Well, I’m still feeling it, and it couldn’t be missed off this top 10.
