Waze & Odyssey are part of a new wave of emerging UK producers who are helping to keep the UK house scene on its toes. After their first release in early 2012, “Ah Baby (Here We Go Again)” they’ve released a whole load of remixes, originals, and bootlegs, ranging from raw, urban garage tracks through to epic ’90s-influenced house anthems. They originally created a fake background story about being US garage veterans raised on a diet of funk & soul in Miami, but then they came clean that they were just having a laugh with that story and are actually a couple of London veterans called Serge Santiago and Firas Waez. With a distinct Waze & Odyssey sound evolving, a new W & O record label, a love of keeping people guessing, and support from the likes of Pete Tong, Lazaro Casanova, Bicep, and Friendly Fires, Waze & Odyssey are set to be BIG in 2013. We caught up with them to find out what they’re all about…
The club night will run from 10.00pm-5.30am and Erol will be joined by artists who feature on the album – In Flagranti and Mickey Moonlight – as well as long term cohorts Matt Walsh and Boggy (Riotous Rockers). Expect to hear Erol’s new collaboration with Switch (A Sydney Jook) and his recent track with Boys Noize ‘Roland Rat‘ (recently remixed by LFO) as well as exclusive tracks from the album like his Rework of Connan Mockasin’s ‘Forever Dolphin Love’ and vintage Crosstown Rebels tune ‘The Bull’ by Spandex. This is the first party Bugged Out have thrown with Alkan since his legendary 9 hour set on Easter Thursday. Early arrivals will be treated to Erol playing songs from the Bugged In Selection and beyond. Hear a mini mix of that here. Tickets for the party start at £12 and are available here.
We have a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader, to be in with a chance of winning just tell us

MORE ON FIRE
There has been a deluge of London clubs that have closed down in recent years, Canvas, The Key, The Cross, Turnmills, The End and more recently Matter (rumoured to be closing only for the summer, but still no word on a re-opening) so to be writing a piece about a ‘club opening’ is refreshing to say the least.
XOYO opens it’s doors for the first time this wednesday and some might say that it couldn’t be coming at a better time? Situated in an old printing works in a prime London location – literally yards from Old Street tube. This 800 capacity venue (spread across two floors) is EXACTLY what promotors have been crying out for. With nights like Bastard Batty Bass, Bloggers Delight, Bugged Out, Durrr ,Eat your Own Ears, Neon Noise Project, Smash & Grab, Swaparama & Urban Nerds already confirmed to be hosting events in the upcoming months.
A new purpose built London club, with easy access is exciting to say the least (and I’m just glad I’m in stumbling distance)! See you down the front…

What will you be doing tonight? Sitting in on pay weekend? Watching X-Factor? Licking the dogs balls? Dont be a such a pussy! Hotter-than-the-surface-of-the-sun producer/DJ Alex Ridha A.K.A “Boys Noize” is in town promoting the release of his new album ‘Power’.
He’s already played a launch night yesterday at Monkey!Knife!Fight! and no doubt tore it to pieces, so now he’s in London to shake it down at Bugged Out @ Fire. Supporting Boys Noize will be Smith’n’Hack live, Housemeister, Riton (YES!) and Brendan Long. Tickets are still available at the very reasonable price of £15 but advance ticket sales close at 5pm. After that, pay on the door. Still staying in?
Just to get you slightly excited is Para 1’s remix of Jeffer.
