Unfortunately following the events in the capital the last few nights, the highly anticipated Rizlab Jamie xx gig has had to be postponed until a later date. I’ll be in touch with the competition winners once they have worked out when they can reschedule the event. Below is the official announcement from Rizla.

RizLab announcement: 10am Wednesday 10th August 2011

Due to the unforeseen protests & disruption in London over the past few days, the Jamie xx + Quayola performance of ‘Structures’ in Shoreditch on Thursday night has to be postponed.

This is by police request – it’s unavoidable, but for the best.

In the meantime, we’ll be working with everyone involved to reschedule the event.

COMPETITION : Win Tickets to See Jamie XX @ RizLab

Posted in Competition, Gigs, We are not a rock band with tags , , on August 5, 2011 by Knockturnal

For the first ever RizLab project, Jamie xx has chosen to work with world-renowned visual artist Quayola for a project entitled ‘Structures’. RizLab is a project created to allow credible, pioneering artists to freely experiment and embrace their personal passions.

Next Thursday 11th August, Jamie xx will be playing an extended four-hour set live at The Classic Car Club, London EC1, that will premiere new material from his forthcoming EP. At the same time, Quayola will be performing live in real-time alongside him to create a visual feast on two huge screens in full HD.

Sounds great doesn’t it? Tickets are nearly all gone and are only available by registering at rizlab.co.uk, but that’s where we come in as we have 5 pairs of tickets to give away to 5 lucky readers!

Want to win tickets? All you’ve got to do is answer the following (insultingly) easy question…

Jamie xx is a member of which band?
